  • I love books and will read anything except horror and mystery
  • I have two cats and want a billion more (I will probably die alone with my cats eating my corpse)
  • I am OBSESSED with GoT (I am convinced that Jon Snow and Daenerys belong together)
  • I sort of really hate school but love to learn about everything except math and history
  • I have a passionate love for horses and wish I could continue to take riding lessons
  • I love Broadway, am listening to 6+ musicals at once, and would rather go see a Broadway show than go to Disney World
  • One day I want to live in Nice, France with horses and cats (and hopefully my future family)

Welcome Readers! Glad to have you aboard; here's some background!

  • I love books, although I don't read as much as I should. 
  • Creepy, dystopian fantasy is absolutely amazing, although I can also do a complete 180 and read over-dramatic, fluffy, bright, rom-coms.
  • I love anime and manga and grew up fueled by it. Feel free to chat about it! (I also keep myself up to date with this season's anime and manga, and I can't choose a favorite, for every anime season, I've found another one to obsess over)
  • If I find a good series, I can watch/read without blinking for up to 30 minutes. (My eyes hurt afterward though; would not recommend trying at home)
  • I like to bake and cook; the kitchen is my home, second only to my bedroom.
  • I compare myself to a rarely sighted animal who barely leaves its home, and can only be dragged out by hunger or worse: family members. *shudders* 
  • I love both cats and dogs, but I'm more of a cat person, and I have an adorable kitten named Sylvie.
  • Like Lili, I love musicals, and wish to live in a different country when I'm older (preferably somewhere in the UK; British accents, amirite?).

I lay on the couch of an apartment far too big for me, a cup of tea and a newspaper on top of the coffee table. My bleary eyes barely register the rolled up newspaper, before filling with tears. I turn to the other side, facing the couch, and squeeze my eyes shut. But it's too late. The first time I see the sky, It’s a warm blossom of colors. Orange, red, yellow, pink. Names that meant nothing before. The sun is dancing, Ever so slowly, Back to the dark place it despises. But it will always rise, And dance again. I recall this to a stranger. She murmurs condolences, And I don’t understand. “Were you really living?” She asks me, And I, confused, reply, “What’s living?” She wraps kind arms around me, Squeezing me tight. “I’m living,” She says. “And you’re living.” Living - warmth The next time I see the sky, I am lying on cold kitchen tiles. It swirls with inky blues and blacks, And I can feel it Drip, dripping on my skin. Let us eat, drink, and be merry, For tomorrow, we die. . . . An empty glass is raised in the air by a blistered hand, and a man stands up beside it. He smiles shakily, being the only one that hasn't gotten himself absolutely smashed. He used to drink, though, so much that he had gotten himself in trouble nearly every day of the week. I suppose today warrants just a bit of something different. He starts to talk, and all eyes shift to him. "I know-" His voice cracks, and he clears his throat. "I know that we're all-" He swallows.
